Our flight from Buffalo to Atlanta was massively delayed and we missed our connection to Tampa. But it was okay! The airline gave us a free Lyft to a hotel of our choosing. We chose Aloft because my bestie just got married at an Aloft the day before in Buffalo so we thought we’d check out another one.

Our room Our room

Aloft is a subsidiary of Marriott. It seems to be trying to appeal to a more quirky and cool millennial clientele, which of course fit Sev and me exactly.

Things I liked:

- The common area was great for working and I chilled there and worked while Sev explored Coca-Cola World after we checked out.

- Free coffee was good.

- Rooms were large and well-appointed.

- Staff was friendly and competent.

- Location was super, really close to the Olympic Park so we could do some touristy things on our only day in town.

Things I didn’t like:

- No free breakfast :( any food in the cafe we had to pay for

- Building looked really bad from the outside

Unfortunately the building, like many chain hotels, is an eyesore Unfortunately the building, like many chain hotels, is an eyesore

It seems like prices are usually around $170 or so for a night. I’m not sure if that would be worth it for just a regular tourist but we didn’t have to pay anything so we can’t really complain!
