Buffalo Fast Food: Mighty Taco
20 Nov 2021 by Amby
I don't really like fast food, but I make an exception for Mighty Taco, a Buffalo institution. And now with Sev in town I had to show him my favorite taco joint from my childhood.
Sev and I ordered the 6-pack of soft-shell mighty tacos, with guacamole and medium sauce. They also have cheese and lettuce. The beef is ground to a fine pulp. I'm not exactly sure which part of the cow this meat comes from. Does it matter?
I was also interested to see the Mighty Taco was offering Impossible meats as a non-meat protein option, which I personally am not interested in but some of our readers might be.
Mighty Taco is about on-par with similar fast food restaurants in terms of ambiance. There are no pretensions here at Mighty Taco. You're here for cheap tacos and you don't need to be fancy.
We order a medium loganberry soda as well. Loganberry is a special kind of pinkish-purple soda popular in the Buffalo area. Actually, in Buffalo, soda is called "pop," which is cute. Loganberry kind of tastes like berry-flavors with a hint of vanilla. Sev said he would not order it again but he's happy he got to try it.
All of the food plus tax came to about $17.00, which seemed kind of steep. But we left feeling satiated. I personally really enjoy Mighty Taco. I have many fond memories of getting it with my family over the years, so I can't really give it less than 4 snacks.
Sev, for his part as a first-timer, is giving Might Taco 3 snacks. "The service was good, the place was clean, but the food just was not really good...right?"
