The first day we were on Lefkada Sev suggested we eat at the place called “Memories.” I found the name to be a little cringe so I didn’t want to go.

Nevertheless, in the second week of our stay we were running out of places to eat so I checked out the Memories menu as we walked by and thought we could eat there.

This place was fantastic and provided a great steamed mussel dish for a mere 10 EUR. And there were multiple adorable cats hanging out, which is always a plus.

Location

The location of Memories is in a really cute square in the middle of town. There’s lots of outdoor seating and children playing in the middle of the square while parents eat. I always find it fun to see such family-friendly dining opportunities because they are relatively uncommon in the States.

My mussels

Food

I got the steamed mussels (10 EUR) and Sev got the meatballs and potatoes for 15 EUR. I was really surprised by the huge amount of mussels that were served on my plate! I didn’t think I could finish them but somehow, I managed.

The buttery-garlic sauce they were cooked in was also phenomenal.

Sev liked his dish as well and thought everything was cooked to perfection.
