Cake in Copenhagen = Cakenhagen

It was already our last day in Copenhagen. Our flight back home was at 8 pm, so we had some time to enjoy the city. We passed the Cakenhagen Coffee Shop multiple times before and now we decided to go in.
The café makes a tidy and modern impression. It is decorated in a minimalistic but interesting way, very quiet and perfectly clean. The theme of the restaurant is Tivoli Gardens, which is a theme park and a major attraction nearby, but everything inside is calm and orderly. The service is professional but also a bit cold and unemotional. It almost felt as if the staff wanted to follow the rules of the hospitality industry too much, thereby losing the warm and friendly atmosphere.
With a name like Cakenhagen, I expected a huge variety of snacks. There were actually only about a dozen, but all of them looked really good and it was hard to pick just one. Amby finally decided on the apple pie, I treated myself to a flødebollekursus, which consisted of a creme filling covered in chocolate. Each with a coffee.
We ended up paying $15 for everything. Cakenhagen is a good option for anyone who fancies a good dessert in a nice cafe.
