We learned about Murphy’s Law Irish pub during our bike tour and were immediately intrigued. The bar, like many of the buildings on this row, has a back section carved into the mountain rock.

We liked the informal, friendly vibe immediately.

Row of buildings built into the rock. Row of buildings built into the rock.

The bar offers 100 whiskeys from around the world, but we each got an Irish stout (5.70 EUR) and also wanted something to eat, but all they had left was a single frozen margharita pizza (9 EUR) which the bartender put in the oven for us.

The pizza actually tasted pretty good and I thought the bar was fun. We sat in the cave part which had 0 cell phone reception—perhaps an annoyance, perhaps a good way to disconnect from your worries and cares, depending how you look at it.

Worth checking out if you like pubs and need a drink, and it’s location in the old town make it close to a lot of things you’d want to see. But don’t go in necessarily expecting food.
