Falafels and More!

The Falafel Bar in Manuel Antonio has a bit of a reputation, and during my seven weeks there I heard many people talk about how I simply had to go. I did end up going quite a few times and generally enjoyed it, especially for the banana date smoothies. After I met Sev at the MA Selina, I even went with him on one of our first dates.
The Falafel Bar is a bit of a schlep from the Selina at about a 15 minute walk, but if you have a long lunch break or want to check it out in the evening you could make it work. There are a lot of different options beyond falafel, including kebab, schnitzel, and shawarma. You could get any of these inside a pita or on a platter, and before you eat you can stuff it with a variety of nice fresh ingredients like carrots and salad and salsa. It was really good!
The pitas are between $7-$9 and the platters are between $10-$12.5. Which is pretty much par for the course in MA, if not a little cheap. The ambiance is really good, although unlike a lot of places in MA there's no view of the ocean.
I really liked coming here and it's definitely worth a visit if you have the time.
