Fantastic Cupcake: Bonne Maman

I was walking around downtown Zurich on the Fourth of July waiting for Sev to get out of work and it started raining really hard. I needed to seek shelter in a cafe, and Bonne Maman was the closest one.
What transpired was a truly delicious, 5-snack cupcake experience.
The location of this cafe is fantastic, right in the heart of the old city where everything is really pretty. Their cupcakes look cute and have fondant flowers and other nice decorations.
I was initially put off by the nearly 7 CHF price tag but sucked it up and went with the lavender-honey cupcake. I think if you want to enjoy your time in Switzerland you have to somewhat ignore prices. Just be mentally prepared to spend money and stop thinking about it.
Anyway I’m glad I went for it because this cupcake was honestly one of the best I have ever had in my entire life. I was completely obsessed. From frosting to cake it was completely perfect. I was even going to buy one for Sev but other people bought the last ones before I could order a second.
Need I say more? Take your 7 CHF and head on over to Bonne Maman. They have five locations throughout Switzerland.
