Munich is home to a very lovely large park called the English Garden, which is a great area to hang out when you need a break from the city crowds. We took the Hop-On Hop-Off bus to the English Garden to begin our walk and popped by the Paulaner Biergarten for a beer and snack.

We really liked this beer garden, which had a lot of picnic tables, some right by a little lake. We were delighted by all the ducks and swans that swan around nearby, looking at us really cute, hoping for a snack.

Prost! Prost!

The restaurant is basically like a cafeteria where you grab a tray and order your food in line. Sev got the grilled red sausage with fries (15 EUR) and a beer for each of us (5 EUR).

He didn’t really like the sausage too much but agreed it was fun to sit outside with the ducks in the park.

Overall we give the experience 4 snacks for being a nice place to unwind. We think arriving earlier in the day, around noon, would be better though, as it was getting a bit more crowded when we left at 1pm.

Welcome to the beer garden! Welcome to the beer garden!
