My Favorite D.C. Bagel Place
30 Apr 2022 by Amby
One of friends and I love Pearl’s Bagels and frequented it when I lived in D.C., so of course we had to go while I’m up this time.
I love Pearl’s because: it’s in a great location in Mt. Vernon Triangle, it’s nice and cozy, it’s not very expensive, and the bagel sandwiches are fantastic.

So my favorite all-time bagel at Pearl’s is the Tom, which I ate a lot in the fall. This was basically like a Thanksgiving dinner in a bagel. I loved it so much I was so excited to order it again.
Unfortunately it must be seasonal or something so it wasn’t available when I was there in April :(

I went with the Green Monster ($10.25) but it wasn’t as good, I didn’t like the cucumbers or the mustard. Pearl’s: Bring back the Tom!
The coffee ($3.00) was good though as usual and I love the nice ambiance; busy but not crowded.
My friend also likes buying the "used bagels" aka day-old bagels. You can get a bag of four for $3.00, which is an amazingly good deal.

I’m taking off a snack because I didn’t find a new favorite bagel, but I think Pearl’s is worth checking out if you need breakfast in D.C.!
