Pizza at the Wharf

It was a beautiful day in Washington and Amby and I decided to go on a walk across the city, to the Wharf. It’s a really nice area with lots of bars and restaurants and a great view over the water. We arrived there around lunch time so we searched for a good place to snack.

After a bit of walking we found Lupo Marino, an Italian restaurant with lots of snacks. We ordered some drinks and a pizza to share. The restaurant was almost empty so the waiter asked for our order quickly. We got our drinks after only a few minutes but then the waiting started. Amby and I both realized that after about 25 minutes our waiter talked to the pizzaiolo and pointed in our direction and the pizzaiolo started searching for our order. It was obvious that someone forgot our order and now they tried to save some time by shortening the baking time. This led to a half baked pizza. The taste was ok but I got some stomach cramps because of the undercooked dough. I would not suggest Lupo Marino for snacks. If an Italian pizza place cannot prepare pizza, there is no hope left.
