Sev and I had one full day in Bogota, so decided to check out the downtown area with the museums and municipal buildings: La Candelaria. We were having a great time taking photos of the buildings and streets and were surprised when our phones suddenly connected to a wifi source: a Selina was nearby!

It's fun encountering a Selina in the wild when you've spent a long time at these hostels, it's like stumbling on the house of a friend you haven't seen in a while where you know you'd be welcome. Plus it was starting to rain so we wanted to go inside somewhere. We walked in and told the security guard we were staying at the Parque 93 Selina, that we had been using Selina for five months, and wanted a tour of this one.

An employee showed us around, speaking Spanish until it was clear we were struggling and then switching deftly to very good English. The Selina looks like an old converted mansion with a chandelier and impressive staircases, but there were also a lot of nice outdoor spaces.

We noticed a pool table. Sev and I took up pool while staying in the Antigua Selina, and so ordered a beer each and played a couple games. A precocious child was doing his homework nearby and interacted with us in a shy way now and then.

The beer was expensive though, about $4, or more than twice as much as the same kind of beer literally anywhere else in the country. But overall it was just a nice place to stop and take a break during our walk.
