Seeking Steak in Munich

Ya’ll getting a restaurant in Munich was hard, especially the Old Town area. On Friday everywhere we walked into needed a reservation, and we didn’t have one.

But we learned our lesson! Saturday we went further afield, and found Liebinghof, a traditional Bavarian restaurant, near the English Gardens.

We are hungry! We are hungry!

The pepper steak was a bit pricey at 26 EUR, and came with a side salad and fries. I also got a coke for 3.70.

The steak was really good! Very flavorful and nicely cooked (although not as good as the perfect steak I had in Milan).

Pretty good! Pretty good!

Things went downhill with the salad, which was a little too soggy and big-leafed for my liking. The fries were okay but I don’t really like fries that much to begin with.

Weak salad game. Weak salad game.

Sev got the cordon bleu (22.90 EUR), he said it wasn’t really good. “I’m used to getting really good cordon bleu. The problem is they didn’t use high quality cheese.”

Sev would give his food 2.5 stars, and I’d have to agree: the price for quality just wasn’t there for me either. Don’t go out of your way to come here, but if you do, get the steak.

Nice tribute to Zermatt in the bathroom at least! Nice tribute to Zermatt in the bathroom at least!
