Sev and I got dinner with two other couples (one of which was hosting us in Torreón) at Primero Centro, a nice restaurant in downtown Torreón. I was warned beforehand that this place was known for their steak, and not fish, but went with the tuna ceviche anyway. Sev got the steak though and definitely had the tastier experience.

I also got a jalapeno pineapple cocktail. All I ever want from this world is food and drinks that are not too sweet. I thought by ordering something explicitly spicy I would achieve this goal. Unfortunately, no. It was a sweet drink but I accepted my fate and still drank it and it was mostly fine. Sev stuck with beer and again had the better time.

I got to try Sev's steak and it was very well prepared. At about $30 his meal was one of the more pricey dinners either of us has had so far this trip though, but for a pleasant evening out with friends at a nice restaurant it was well worth it.

As for my tuna, I was really in the mood for something cold after a long hot day, so it fit my mood, but it was a bit bland and I didn't love it. It was cheaper than Sev's though, at about $12.

As a bonus, Sev and I were both looking to buy a souvenir for friends in the States, where we travel to next, and purchased a bottle each of Hacienda de Canutillo, a spirit made out of an agave plant, different from the typical mezcal and tequila you'd find in most parts of Mexico or the States. The restaurant gave us a tasting of two different varieties and we thought they were both quite good and a unique present for our friends. These came out to about $17 each.
