The Restaurant at the End of the Solar System

Douglas Adams once said that there is a restaurant at the End of the Universe, and while we cannot confirm its existence, we do know of a lovely restaurant located at the end of our solar system. This hidden gem is called Felsenegg and can be found on the Uetliberg in Zurich. We stumbled upon it on the planet hike, which starts at the Uetliberg train station - the final stop on the S10 train line from Zurich main station.
The planet hike leads from the Uetliberg to the Felsenegg, mapping the distances in the solar system. Each meter of the path corresponds to a distance of 1 million kilometers. This approximately two-hour hike leads from the sun past the eight planets to the dwarf planet Pluto. Once you arrive at Felsenegg, you have a breathtaking view of Lake Zurich and the mountains towering in the distance.
At the end of your hike, you'll come across Felsenegg - a charming Swiss mountain restaurant. Here, you can indulge in some classic Swiss dishes such as Rösti, Älplermakronen, Racclett, and a variety of soups. During our visit, Amby opted for the delicious Älplermakronen and a refreshing coke, while I opted for a warm and hearty goulash soup and a cup of coffee. The service was impeccable - swift and professional, and the food was simply amazing. Amby and I give this place a solid five snacks rating!
You won't be able to drive to the restaurant, but don't worry! There's a cable car that takes you up to Felsenegg from Adliswil. Once you're up there, it's only a short five-minute stroll to the restaurant. We decided to continue our walk to Buchenegg where we found Pluto at its furthest point from the sun. From there, we made our way down to the train station Sihlau in about 30 minutes, were we hopped on a train back to Zurich's main station.
